TUESDAY 1 FEBRUARY

Still reeling from another huge day for #IVW22. Gigs from #1 and #2 UK album artists to bands and venues involved in their first IVW gigs, it was another day that had everything…

The day was full of excitement from the off as BBC 6 Music‘s Steve Lamacq ventured to Belgrave Music Hall, Leeds to broadcast a very special show with Yard Act. The hype is definitely real as the 4-piece delivered a frenzied set that turned the venue and the airwaves upside down.

And just down the road, #1 album holder Years and Years lit up The Wardrobe with a euphoric set truly worthy of its recent accolade. And if Leeds wasn’t lucky enough already, James Bay also performed an intimate solo set at Brudenell Social Club to a similarly sold out crowd.

Communities once again turned out in droves for their independent venues all over the UK, and seeing that support each night makes everything worthwhile here at IVW HQ.

As we move in to day 3, we are once again spoilt for choice…

Birkenhead are in for a treat with Melt Yourself Down heading over to Future Yard as part of the BBC 6 Music tour with Steve Lamacq, whilst Cardiff welcomes Nova Twins at Moon. Our ambassadors Wet Leg gear up for a big show at 100 Club in London, and The Orielles play a very special show at The Baths, Ipswich. So much going on!
