MONDAY 31 JANUARY

What a first night to officially open #IVW22. So many venues were looking packed full of communities enjoying independent live music again, and that’s what we love to see.

False Advertising opened up proceedings at The Parish, Huddersfield, bringing an infectious energy that will no doubt keep the crowd going all week.

In the South-West, Opus Kink played a raucous sold out show for the good people of Bristol at the Crofters Rights. Unsurprisingly wild, and a tough act to follow for the rest of the week.

And the South East were treated to legendary Andy Bell’s first performance of his ‘Space Station’ set that blew Colchester away at Three Wise Monkeys. Chelmsford, Northampton, Ipswich and Trowbridge all have the lucky chance to see it this week, and we seriously recommend you don’t miss out.
