He will be talking to each of the artists on air from his tour bus during his 4pm-7pm BBC 6 Music show, finding out all about why they&#8217;re getting involved in Independent Venue Week, and what it means to revisit where they started out.<\/p>\n<p>On the first day of Independent Venue Week, Monday the 27th January, Lamacq will be talking to <a href=\"https:\/\/nadineshah.co.uk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Nadine Shah<\/a> prior to her gig at <a href=\"http:\/\/old.independentvenueweek.com\/portfolio\/newcastle-the-cluny\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Cluny<\/a> in Newcastle. As a previous ambassador for IVW (helping us celebrate our 5th year), we are excited to also head up and see Nadine perform with One True Pairing as support.<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday, Lammo will be heading to <a href=\"http:\/\/old.independentvenueweek.com\/portfolio\/sheffield-the-leadmill\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Leadmill<\/a> in Sheffield to chat to excited gig-goers and to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.selfesteem.love\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Self Esteem<\/a> before her stripped back piano show that evening. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.skinnypelembe.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Skinny Pelembe<\/a>, marked as one to watch by the Guardian, will be supporting Self Esteem with an acoustic set.<\/p>\n<p>Cardiff is Steve Lamacq&#8217;s next stop on his tour, at <a href=\"http:\/\/old.independentvenueweek.com\/portfolio\/cardiff-clwb-ifor-bach\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Clwb Ifor Bach<\/a>, for a night curated by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/programmes\/articles\/1WhvnGjVSWVwMTtLw0GXkJ8\/what-is-horizons-gorwelion\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">BBC Horizons<\/a>. On the Wednesday, they are showcasing a series of brilliant Welsh artists, headlined by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gruffrhys.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Gruff Rhys<\/a>. Support comes from Sonny Winnebago,\u00a0Panic Shack,\u00a0Lucas J Rowe,\u00a0Hana2k,\u00a0Codewalkers,\u00a0Esther and\u00a0Darren Eedens &#038; The Slim Pickin&#8217;s. Money raised from this gig will go towards Children in Need.<\/p>\n<p>The Thursday will see Steve at <a href=\"http:\/\/old.independentvenueweek.com\/portfolio\/exeter-cavern\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Exeter Cavern<\/a> talking to <a href=\"https:\/\/frank-turner.com\/home\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Frank Turner<\/a>. It&#8217;ll be a very special gig as Frank is someone who has been with us right from the beginning of IVW and was our Second Year Ambassador. It&#8217;s such a pleasure having two of our former ambassadors play a gig in their home towns. Supporting Frank will be The Velvet Hands, Samantics, and Sounds of the Sirens.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, rounding off his tour, Lamacq will be at the infamous <a href=\"http:\/\/old.independentvenueweek.com\/portfolio\/london-windmill-brixton\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Windmill<\/a> in Brixton, London. Where he will be broadcasting his show, live, from inside the venue including a very special interview with our Year 7 ambassador, Anna Calvi. The last half hour of his show will then be a live performance form Anna with a few of her fans joining Steve in the venue for a very intimate show. Anna will be following this with another another show for more fans after the broadcast with support from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/MarthaSkyeMurphy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Martha Skye Murphy<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"Anna Calvi -
