US Venue Spotlight – Brooklyn, NY – Saint Vitus

Once a plumbing school and old social club, Saint Vitus in Greenpoint, Brooklyn became known as its now legendary self in 2011. Designed by bartenders, this venue perfectly balances both sleek and industrial elements to create the perfect modern NYC rock club.

Saint Vitus is renowned for its commitment to New York’s heavy music community. They have hosted the best in the genre including The Descendants, Neurosis, Megadeth, Anthrax, Carcass, Refused, Babes in Toyland, and Sick of it All.

In 2014 the venue hosted an epic surprise Nirvana reunion, which is still talked about today. The night featured all-star performances from guest singers Joan Jett, St. Vincent, Kim Gordon, J Mascis, John McCauley, and more.

Saint Vitus is also home to many local parties such as Nevermind – a 90s alternative and pop party and the funky Saturday night party ‘Music for the Masses’ – a Dark 80s New Wave Night with no cover and various DJs.

Keeping the local spirit alive and keen on diversity, Saint Vitus also hosts film screenings, exhibitions, photoshoot, weddings, and all sorts of private parties.
