The Beachland Ballroom and Tavern was opened in 2000 by owners Cindy Barber and Mark Leddy (at the time, the booker for iconic venue Pat’s in the Flats and member of Cleveland band Satan’s Satellites). The two converted the old Croatian Liberty Hall in Cleveland into an eclectic live music venue and managed to preserve a piece of Cleveland history by maintaining the vintage vibe of the building.
Beachland Ballroom has two stages: the intimate Tavern stage (capacity of 148) and the larger Ballroom stage (capacity of 500). This allows the venue to offer two separate concerts most nights. Besides its packed music program, Beachland Ballroom sports a full kitchen, an extensive beer selection, and even its vintage shop, This Way Out, in the basement.
Over the years, Beachland Ballroom has hosted the likes of The Black Keys, The Cramps, Guided by Voices, and The White Stripes among many more!
On top of hosting local and national artists nightly, Beachland Ballroom serves its community, participating in events such as holiday flea markets, music industry workshops and mixers, and larger annual events, including Waterloo Arts Fest and Beachland’s SummerFest festival. All of this makes Beachland Ballroom a pillar of Ohio’s music scene as well as a nationally renowned venue.
Beachland Ballroom will host Falling Stars and Maura Rogers and the Bellows when they help us celebrate the first ever Independent Venue Week in the US—get your tickets here!
