Since 1997 Yellow Arch has been operating successfully as a recording studio, equipment hire, teaching studio and live music venue. We have established a great reputation as a key player in the music industry both in Sheffield and throughout the UK and beyond. Most famously as the birthplace of Arctic Monkeys, the studio has produced albums by a diverse range of artists including Richard Hawley, Jarvis Cocker, Duane Eddy, Kylie Minogue, Wayne Hussey and many many more. Yellow Arch Studios is listed in the Guardian as one of the top five places for a night out.
On 7th February 2015 we opened our doors as a full time licenced venue, and we haven’t looked back since. We cater for everything from gigs, open mics and raves to private functions, such as birthdays and weddings. We also provide the facilities for service away days and corporate functions. There is a cafe & bar, main venue space and a secluded courtyard with covered seating and heaters.
Playing host to some incredible acts such as Adelphi Music Factory, Danny Goffey (Supergrass), Don Letts, King Capisce, KOG and the Zongo Brigade, Malevolence, Mr Scruff, Nubiyan Twist, Otis Mensah and Random Hand. In September 2018, Yellow Arch Studios was voted “Sheffield’s best late night venue” in the Social Sheffield awards. Yellow Arch Studios has been praised by locals as being a catalyst for the regeneration of the Kelham Island and Neepsend area, which had previously been known as a derelict red-light-district, as represented in the Arctic Monkeys song “When the Sun Goes Down”.
