More Music is a community music and education charity based in the West End of Morecambe, working throughout Lancashire, the North West and internationally.
Alongside presenting local, national and international artists, our year round programme covers a breadth of music making activity involving people of all ages and all backgrounds. We are one of the longest running and most highly regarded community music and education organisations in the UK. More Music has a history of over 25 years of national and international projects that demonstrate flexibility, belief, imagination, partnership and connection.

Tickets for gigs are also available online. We advertise a Doors open time for each gig, which is approximately 30 minutes before the first act. Essential companion tickets are available to all ticketed events for customers who would otherwise be unable to attend the venue. Essential Companion tickets can be booked on the website or please mention this when you book your tickets on the phone/in person.
We have developed our building to make all public areas accessible, and staff are always on hand to help and guide you. Facilities include: There is a loading / drop off bay opposite the main door. Two disabled parking bays are located on Parliament Street, approximately 30 metres past the building entrance. There are two disabled spaces in the Car Park at the front of the building, approximately 50m away. The nearest bus stops are on Regent Road and Westminster Road approximately 50m away. There is a shallow gradient ramp leading up to the main entrance. The ramp has a hand-rail alongside the gradient and there is alternative access to the main entrance via a step. Push button operated, outward opening, automatic doors are in place at our main entrance. The box office has a lowered counter and is located just inside the main entrance doors. The secondary entrance doors are not automatic but will either be staffed and electronically unlocked or physically opened by our box office staff if required. Assistance will be given if requested when queuing, please ask a staff member in a red More Music t-shirt. Assistance may be in the form of portable chairs, priority access or the option to move to a seated area until access is available. There is no ‘deep pile’ carpet within the entrance area. There is a large low pile, loose doormat in the entrance, which can be removed on request. The staircase to our upstairs venue and workshop space has two short carpeted flights of stairs with handrails, there is a flat landing area in between the two flights of stairs. There are 20 steps in total. We have a lift between the ground floor and first floor/venue space of the building which is located in the foyer area. The first floor bar area has a full-length lowered counter. Drinking straws and various drinking glass sizes and designs are available on request. Our bar staff are happy to assist and carry your drinks to your table if required. We offer a viewing area in the Music Hall by arrangement. We define the viewing area as a wheelchair user space or seated space with a good view. Please contact us to arrange this and to ensure that we save space for and any others in your group so that you can enjoy your evening together.
There is moveable seating available for non-wheelchair users. Please contact us in advance of an event to request a viewing area so we can discuss your needs by emailing access@moremusic.org.uk or call 01524 831997. The nearest fully accessible toilet to the Music Hall is on the same floor less than 20m away. Assistance, hearing and guide dogs are welcome and fresh drinking water is always available for them on request.
In the event of fire or other incident, wheelchair refuge areas are designated at the top of the stairwells on the first floor of the building for evacuation purposes. We have two Evac Chairs on the first floor, one in each refuge area, and trained stewards and staff will be present at all events. Unisex disabled toilets with level access and baby change facilities are available on both floors of the building (radar key not required). We welcome attendees who need to bring medicines, food or drink to manage a medical condition, or medical equipment, please contact us with any specific requirements or concerns. In an emergency, please approach any member of staff in a red More Music t-shirt. We operate a no strobe lighting policy.
