Set as two 100 capacity entertainment spaces over two floors, Retro has been a staple of the Manchester music scene for 20+ years. The Chemical Brothers and The XX played intimate Manchester shows here before launching up to theatres and arenas. We are accessible to the Manchester music community and students arriving in the city. Local bands host gig swaps for bands from other regions to travel and develop their fanbases. Our event programming criteria strongly supports underserved groups and diversity. With a specific focus towards gender equality, LGBTQ clubs and BAME led events.
