Housed in a 1920s rag trade building, and formerly known as Kraak Gallery, this music venue was the first secret venue in Manchester’s Northern Quarter. It was and still is, very much a word-of-mouth place. Aatma can be found through a side door down an old cobbled alleyway next to Stevenson Square. The red stairwell leads to the 170-capacity venue. There, bands and DJs will be blasting out all kinds of genres of music, sometimes till 4am, and outside people will walk by on Faraday St without having a clue what is happening a just few metres away from them.
