Since the early 60’s The Half Moon has been earning the respect of London’s gig goers, putting on unforgettable live shows in Putney every night of the week. Some of our most famous shows include U2’s first sellout UK concert, kd lang’s first UK appearance and Kate Bush’s first public show. Not to name drop or anything, but over the years a certain local band has also spent quite a lot of time here at The Half Moon Putney – The Rolling Stones. In recent years they’ve used our space for private events, band members have popped up here in various side-projects and they’ve graced our stage with their rehearsals. Alright, since we’re name dropping here’s some of the other legends we’ve hosted; The Who, Van Morrison, John Martyn, Steve Marriott, Elvis Costello, Bo Diddley to name a few, not forgetting the comedians Billy Connolly, Harry Hill and Stewart Lee. More recently we’ve treated our fans to special shows from Michael Kiwanuka, London Grammar, Nick Cave, Kasabian, Ed Sheeran, and comedians James Acaster, Nina Conti and Dara O’Briain.
