Aces & Eights

Unique neighbourhood bar and venue bringing authentic rock ‘n roll, roots and folk etc to London since 2010. Two levels with an intimate and attractive 60 capacity (45 Seated) basement venue downstairs plus a large public bar above serving the best wines, spirits, beers and cocktails + traditional oven baked pizzas + bookable booths and long tables. Bands and comedy 7 nights a week in the gorgeously atmospheric basement venue with its own dedicated and well stocked bar plus DJs til late in the main ‘dive bar’ upstairs every Friday and Saturday. The basement venue was originally the strongroom of Barclays Bank and has since been transformed into a stylish and decadent speakeasy able to accommodate any event with a corner stage surrounded by velvet drapes and dedicated ‘green room’.

Recent events have included sell-out shows by reputable promoters including Communion and The Local as well as signed, established and emerging artists such as Eloise, Cale Tyson’s London debut, David Thomas Broughton, Peter Bruntnell, John Murry, RM Hubbert, Geneva, The Miracle Legion, Peter Fij & Terry Bickers (Ex House Of Love/Adorable), Dan Stuart of Green On Red etc as well as a growing schedule of contemporary UK and International acts, popular club nights and festivals including Artrocker and The End Festival. Aces & Eights also has a vibrant schedule of contemporary comedy and cabaret including Edinburgh Festival Previews, The Camden Fringe as well as name comedians such as Alan Carr, James Acaster, Nick Helm etc.
