Neuadd Ogwen reopened in August 2014. Before then it had been a community hall used for anything from a coffee morning to a Super Furry Animals concert.
It’s now a community arts centre in the heart of Bethesda’s high street. We have 5 staff and use a bunch of volunteers. Gigs is the staple although we also do films, theatr, dj nights as well as music, drama and dance classes.
The music has been eclectic from indie, punk, jazz, classic, folk, electro swing and blues. We’ve had acts such as Gruff Rhys, Cate le Bon, Meilyr Jones, Sweet Baboo, Euros Childs, Electric Swing Circus and Catrin Finch.
We are growing fast and are hoping to up our game in 2017 by putting on more and bigger names.
