SPARK:York is a community venue, located in the centre of York. It is a temporary structure, made from recycled shipping containers that houses over 15 local start-up businesses and offers free meeting space for community groups. While not exclusively music focussed as a venue, SPARK has hosted everything from emerging local bands to international DJs. Events are inclusively priced where possible, and all profits from the project are reinvested into the community.
