Mark Morriss (The Bluetones)

1 February at 8:00 pm

+ Nick B Hall Mark Morriss, best known as lead singer of 1990’s indie favourites The Bluetones will be performing at the Golden Lion for Independent Venue Week 2023. “The symbolic of Morriss’ style as a solo performer; a serious love of music and song tempered with jocularity. It makes for a set of easy-going acoustic songs and a camaraderie that brings a warmth to the winter that gathers around us.” – Louder Than War A 90 minute run through classics such as ‘Slight Return’, fans will be able to let their hair down to the Bluetones back catalogue live this year. Nick B Hall is a multiple award-winning songwriter. From touring the world as a session singer and guitarist, via a twenty-five year membership of near-legendary Yorkshire folk-rockers The Hall Brothers, to being one half of the award-winning duo Plumhall (with the amazing Michelle Plum), Nick Hall is firmly establishing himself as one of our finest singer-songwriters. This reputation has been bolstered by BBC Radio Two Folk Award nominee Dan Walsh’s recent, excellent version of the Plumhall song – ‘Never Forget My Name’. ?Nick is well-known for his excellent guitar-playing and his emotive, warm and powerful singing voice.
