Lizzie Esau + George O’Hanlon + Viddy

2 February at 7:30 pm

THURSDAY FEBRUARY 2ND LIZZIE ESAU + GEORGE O’HANLON + VIDDY An Independent Venue Week show ‘The Future Icons’ co-headline tour Forming her passions at a young age, Lizzie Esau’s desire to express herself through music hasn’t faded. Finding influence in Wolf Alice, Beabadoobee, and Radiohead, she’s keen to blow the lid off any one sonic box. Now 22 years-old, Esau has taken the industry by storm in 2022. Working with her live band, the North East talent has had a busy live schedule over the last twelve months. Establishing her sound with support slots for Baby Queen, The Amazons and Upsahl – as well as performing at festivals including BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend and 100above – Esau has cemented her name. Ramping up her songwriting prowess with jealousy-fuelled cut ‘Shade of Green’, indie showstopper ‘The Enemy’ and the pensive and alternative ‘Bleak Sublime’, Lizzie continues to thrive and surprise with a rapidly-expanding discography. New single ‘Stay on the Phone’ evolves her craft into more new territory, offering a politically-driven but personal message, rounding off 2022 with a fitting ballad to fuel hope throughout the winter. Heading towards the New Year, Lizzie is set to level things up with a debut EP due early next spring. With early support coming from the likes of BBC Introducing, Notion, Clash, and Dork, Esau is ready to grasp, with guitar in hand, all that 2023 has to offer. FFO: Sam Fender, Wolf Alice, Circa Waves Inspired by the likes of Bob Dylan, Jeff Buckley and Thom Yorke, George O’Hanlon’s songwriting is both literary and deeply personal, incorporating his own life experiences into his work while framing them from different perspectives. Over the last few years the 21 year-old Dorking native has been refining his playing and songwriting, and is now ready to share his music with the world. Following a few early gigs on the college circuit, George expanded out into a series of shows at grassroots venues, adding additional players to his live show and honing his live performance. FFO: Ben Howard, Ryan Adams, Damien Rice plus VIDDY Viddy brings hypnotising basslines, suave guitar, a sprinkling of electronica and tender vocals to create mellow pop songs that capture the audience, their imagination and invite them to share in all their ‘feels’. @ The Black Prince 15 Abington Square, Northampton NN1 4AE Doors 7.30pm Tickets are on sale now from The venue is 16+ [under 18s to be accompanied by a legal guardian] The multi-story St Michael’s car park [entrance on St. Michael’s Road, exit on Abington Square] is a 40 second walk from The Black Prince
