The gigs just keep on coming for #IVW23…
Who has managed to get out to an independent venue every night of the week so far?
IVW23 ambassadors Young Fathers made Scotland proud as they brought their new album to Norwich Arts Centre last night for Steve Lamacq’s BBC 6 Music tour. No better advert for the record in our eyes, grab yourselves a copy and make sure you see them soon. Norwich will agree…
In Sunderland, IVW regulars LIFE brought not just their usual wild set to Pop Recs but also an insightful Soundcheck Session for young people in the local area as part of the Independent Venue Community programme. Same deal for their hometown show at the Adelphi tomorrow, and what a deal it is.
Wales didn’t get much rest before the raucous Tokky Horror knocked on the door at the Moon in Cardiff, bringing a set that no one will be forgetting in a hurry (in the best way!) whilst Manchester saw Sprints join up with Thus Love and M(h)aol for the ultimate punk co-headliner.
The capital hosted Editors at IVW’s largest venue, The Troxy for a hotly-anticipated show whilst on the South Coast, 60 Million Postcards hosted a dual headline of Sick Joy and Shelf Lives. We can’t decide who was luckiest for day 3!
Nearly half way through the week, keep getting out to your local independent venues and enjoy yourself with your community!
