Another huge day for Independent Venue Week 2023…

Steve Lamacq’s BBC 6 Music tour rolled on to Birmingham with the incomparable Grove at the Hare & Hounds in Birmingham. It was a set with as much ferocity as it had style, a tough set to top on the tour!

Leeds-alumni English Teacher brought their post-punk over to Cardiff at Clwb Ifor Bach for a huge show on their UK tour before they head up to Birkenhead to do the same at Future Yard.

Down South, Coach Party safely blew the roof off the Joiners in Southampton. A show reminiscent of IVW22 ambassadors Wet Leg’s show at the same venue last year, and made all the more special seeing as Coach Party’s IVW22 shows had to be postponed. A triumphant comeback!

There have already been so many incredible gigs on at independent venues all over the UK, and we aren’t even half way through yet! We hope you have all been enjoying yourselves so far and taking care of each other.

Who is up for day 3?
