All proceeds towards Help Musicians UK & their Music Minds Matter Helpline

As lockdown has had such an impact on people’s mental health, Help Musicians UK have found their services needed more than ever. We teamed up with them and with our venues to bring something that will hopefully put a smile on everyones faces – A salute to the four-legged (and no-legged in the case of the venue with a snake!) friends that have helped some of our venue owners and teams get through the last year, available on tote bags and a t-shirt.

Featuring 30 photos of super cute pets from all across the UK, all proceeds from the IVW pet products will go towards helping to fund Help Musicians helpline Music Minds Matter. Help Musicians CEO James Ainscough explains the importance of the work HMUK do, and how Music Minds Matter can help those in need:

While the financial impact of the pandemic has been in the limelight for nearly a year, the repercussions on the mental health of everyone in the music industry are equally as serious. In 2020 we saw a 40% increase in demand for our mental health care, so we are very grateful to Independent Venue Week for this much-needed fundraising. Through our Music Minds Matter service, people right across the music industry can speak directly to a BACP accredited counsellor, day or night, and we would really encourage anyone who’s struggling to get in touch. Buying one of these marvellous t-shirts will help us maintain our vital service; offering a listening ear when it’s needed most.

You can buy an Independent Venue Week pet t-shirt or tote bag from ivw.awesomedistro.com now, and let us know who you think the cutest pet is at @IVW_UK on Twitter & Instagram using the tag #IVWPets.
