We are shocked & appalled that PRS for Music have today, issued onerous new licenses for streamed shows. This decision puts PRS even more out of touch with our community at a time when streaming shows, especially during extended lockdown, means less music and culture when it’s needed most.

These streamed shows offer work for artists, crews and those in the wider live industry that have been hardest hit in the last year. Many in the artists community, who are the beneficiaries of the PRS license fee, are also against this new license which comes without any of the promised consultation with those it impacts.

They, like we, understand acutely how much the live music community is an ecosystem that requires everyone to thrive in order to survive. They have got this very wrong and need to take immediate action to pull this license.
