Previously the legendary rock venue Common Grounds, High Dive in Gainesville opened in 2011 in the same location and has been bringing the best talent to Florida ever since. Once listed as one of the 100 Greatest American Venues by Consequence of Sound, the venue has played host to many legendary bands and performers over the years.
As much about community and gathering as it is about music, the venue hosts the ORIGINAL GAINESVILLE FOOD TRUCK RALLY every six weeks in the front yard. In the past, it has also been the home and sponsor of local initiative Art Attack, which displayed the work of 20 local artists across the venue. Vintage markets and local showcases are also regularly held at High Dive.
Management at High Dive is highly committed to excellent design having recently undergone a 2-year renovation helping the room reach its highest potential. Originally a feed store, the venue’s tin roof remains intact and the inside of the venue is lined with 800 Square feet of restored pine.
Artists that have played High Dive include Dave Matthew’s Band, Kenny Chesney, Green Day, Nine Inch Nails, 311, Black Keys, Paramore, Avett Brothers, Against Me as well comedians such as Patton Oswalt.
