US Venues: Independent Venue Week calls for American venue submissions

American Independent venues are welcome to apply to participate in 2019’s US edition of Independent Venue Week here.

“I’ve spent a lot of time in independent venues around the world, on stage and as the fan in the crowd. No matter if you’re a superstar or underground act, these places bring music to the people outside of the corporate lines. Let’s celebrate them, not just this week but every day.”
—Chuck D, honorary ambassador for Independent Venue Week’s first US edition

“Independent Venue Week helped us tell our story as a locally owned business. The week placed an emphasis on the independent teams across the country working hard to create experiences that aren’t cookie cutter and corporate.”
—Wes Davenport, Marketing Director, Mercy Lounge (Nashville, TN)

Independent Venue Week returns for its second annual US edition taking place July 8-14, 2019. Its successful US debut ran in July 2018 as featured in Pollstar and Billboard. It included 20 shows across 20 venues in 20 cities – Read more in the official impact report here.

In its second year on American soil, Independent Venue Week will expand to include multiple venues per city, with the ability for venues to host several shows throughout the week. The venue submission application is open now with no cost for venues to participate:
